Thriving Thursday: Finding Joy in Small Wins

Life can feel like a series of big, impossible tasks. Sometimes it’s easy to overlook the little things that actually matter. That’s why focusing on small wins—tiny moments, choices, or actions—can make a big difference. Even small steps remind you that you are capable, growing, and moving forward.

Small wins can be anything: finishing a task you’ve been putting off, sending a kind message to someone, pausing for a moment to breathe, or noticing a moment of laughter or connection. These small victories often go unnoticed, but they add up and shift your mindset from what’s wrong to what’s working.

Try This:

1. Each day this week, write down three small wins—anything that gave you a sense of accomplishment or joy.

2. Celebrate them: acknowledge them silently, say a quick “thank you” to God, or share with a friend.

3. Reflect at the end of the week: How did noticing these small wins affect your mood, energy, or perspective?

Inviting God In:

God notices the little victories too. Scripture reminds us: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9, NIV). Take a moment to thank Him for the small things today, and notice how His faithfulness shows up in ordinary life.
