About Carla Wenger
LMHC/LPC
I became a counselor because I believe people are capable of far more healing than they've been told is possible — and because I got tired of watching people suffer quietly when real help exists.
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, working with women, couples, and teens. My faith is central to who I am and how I work — I bring a Christian worldview to everything I do, while also serving clients who prefer a non-faith approach. Either way, you'll get the same thing: honesty, warmth, and practical tools that actually work in real life.
What makes my approach different is that I don't just help you talk about your problems — I help you understand why you feel what you feel, and then I give you something to do about it. Therapy with me is collaborative, direct, and grounded. I'm not going to nod at you for 50 minutes. I'm going to engage with you, challenge you when it's helpful, and celebrate with you when things shift.
Beyond the counseling room, I speak at women's conferences, churches, and organizations — including internationally — on topics like trauma, emotional regulation, and relationships. I'm also the author of My Pocket Counselor, a devotional-style guide for Christian women who want faith-integrated tools for emotional health.
I'm glad you're here. Taking this step says something about you.
