Rest isn’t just for big chunks of time. Sometimes life doesn’t allow for a full day off, but that doesn’t mean you can’t experience the Sabbath in small, intentional moments. Taking a pause—even for a few minutes—can restore your mind, body, and spirit, and help you approach the week with clarity and calm.
I’ve learned that these small pauses matter more than I realized. It could be sitting quietly with your morning coffee, stepping outside to notice the fresh air, or taking a brief moment to pray and reflect. These mini Sabbaths help you reconnect with yourself and with God, even in the middle of a busy day.
Try This:
1. Choose one small moment today to pause and be present. No phone, no multitasking—just you and the moment.
2. Take three slow, deep breaths and notice what’s around you.
3. Reflect on one thing you want to carry forward into your week or one thing you can release before Monday.
Inviting God In:
God’s Sabbath isn’t about a schedule—it’s about rest for your soul. Scripture says: “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy” (Exodus 20:8, NIV). Even in small moments, invite God in, let Him refresh you, and notice His presence in the quiet.
